For fifteen years professionally, Emanuel has worked his magic behind the decks, laying down everything from deep, soulful, funky house to reggae dancehall dubs to obscure funk to disco re-edits and all sorts of music in between. Drawing from this diverse background, he now focuses his efforts on a driving funky house sound full of afro/latin percussive elements which has him consistently rocking dance floors that reflect his passion, energy and dedication. "Being able to share the music I love with others and having complete freedom to control the dancefloor, for me, that’s really what it's all about.” states Emanuel.
It all started back when Emanuel attended his first wherehouse rave party back 1991 called Mr. Floppies in the San Francisco wherehouse district. “The parties back then were so crazy, creative and fresh" he remembers. "There were no boundaries back then; nobody came in with preconceived notions of what the music should be. It was this carefree attitude, with no racial barriers, sexual prejudice or religious differences, everyone dancing together under one roof.” Emanuel says smiling.
Growing up out of the old school hip hop generation (breakdancing, graffiti & djing), it just seemed natural to get back into buying vinyl again and taking it one step further. Emanuel spent every minute of everyday locked away in his bedroom practicing the art of mixing and programming, never following the latest trends and always keeping an open mind. It took a few years before he knew this is what he wanted to do, sacrificing everything, girlfriends, family, cars, etc… “Some friends and I used to scout out all new and used record stores in the Bay Area spending an entire weekend searching the dusty bins crouched down on the floor looking for buried treasure.” Says Emanuel.
The first dj’s that inspired him to pick up his instrument of choice were the early house pioneers of the time… Local dj’s Mark Farina, Jeno, Garth, Doc Martin, DJ Dan, Ernie Munson, Ruben mancias, Rasoul, David Harness, Simon, Buck, Neon Leon, DJ Spun, Jon Howard, Pete Avilla etc... Non local dj’s Frankie Feliciano, Victor Simonelli, Little Louie Vega, Tony Humphries, CJ Mackintosh, Bad Boy Bill, Juan Atkins, Kerri Chandler and Derrick Carter.

A couple years later during college he moved in with Miguel ‘Migs’ of Naked music fame further solidifying his newfound relationship with house music. Being the new breed of house dj’s they began throwing small intimate underground parties in and around the Bay area focusing on a more organic sophisticated sound. He played alongside Preston (Stompy Stomp), Ruben Macias, David harness, Chris Lum, Rasoul, Jon Howard, and Markus Wyatt.
Emanuel was one the first pioneers to travel to Bangkok to share his vision and love of House music with a broader audience. ‘I saw Thailand as a base to branch out and share my love for quality dance music.” says Emanuel. He felt like Bangkok was the perfect place to start fresh and keep a positive attitude in the ever increasing oversaturated bland state of electronic music culture.
Emanuel has been living in Bangkok for more than 5 years now, where he has since played and resided at some of the most popular venues in town and abroad. At these venues he has played alongside Robert Owens, Knee Deep, Copyright, Ian Carey, Johnny Fiasco, Dennis Ferrer, Rasmus Faber and Melo, Charles Schillings, Stephane Pompougnac, etc…

Bed Supperclub (Bangkok) the most talked about venue in and around Asia has grabbed hold of this much in demand dj who knows a good thing when they see it!
Catch him Wednesday’s for Model’s night with percussionist Num (t-bone), Fridays in the restaurant spinning west coast deep soulful house and Saturdays in the Bar where Pumping uplifting Funky House reigns supreme.
