I am Mehmet Isikli, especially you know my nick name as DARKMAN. I began to interested in music when I was in high school alike many people do. Thanks to my interest in music, I began to work as an amateur Dj in some birthday and private parties. After this experience, I worked with some professional DJ..s by playing slow music and party intro music. It was a very great experience and improvement for me to meet with one of the best professional DJ in that time named DJ HAKAN GÜNDÜZ in 1987. After this meeting, I took a step to professional DJ by working with him in some night clubs where he works, as a guest DJ thanks to technical information that I had learnt from him. In a very short time I began to work in a very famous club in that time named LIVING ROOM (current name is BOTANIC) as a resident DJ. At the same year and following years I carried on playing music as a resident DJ in SCALA CLUB in Bayramoglu. After graduating the university, in the beginning of 1990..s, I began to work as a guest DJ in some clubs and was a music director of METRONOM which was a very famous organization and record company. In Bosphorus parties I played music in front of 10.000 people. In addition in the same term, I also played music in some fashion shows and organizations. In 1992 I established a record shop named PROSOUND together with my partner of today MEHMET ÖZERMAN. Our aim was supplying with some 12.. vinyls and equipments which are not available in Turkey easily for our DJ customers. At that time I was playing music in some famous clubs as a guest DJ. In following years I produced and released some dance albums under the label of PROSOUND. In the beginning of 2000, I produced first mixed dance compilation of Turkey with my nick name as DARKMAN. Its name was FUTURE SOUND OF ISTANBUL. After being released this album I also produced and recorded my second mixed compilation named CLUB SESSION. At the same time I carried on my music performances in some night clubs by accelerating my active professional DJ performance . In the same years my sets were begun to broadcast in a radio station named 101.8 LE CHIC FM and subsequently I organized a radio program named SOUND SESSION broadcasted in Friday nights in one of the very famous radio station of Turkey named 102.5 NUMBER ONE FM. Aim of this program was promoting new vinyls released as promo copies as soon as they are released and giving important information about record company labels and producers to Turkish listeners. In 2003 I produced and released a new dance compilation named FUTURE SOUND OF ISTANBUL VOL. 2 which contains the songs of Turkish composers and producers that I had used in my radio programs in many times. Now; I am a music director of 104.4 COOL FM and my radio program in NUMBER ONE FM has been still going on. In addition I am also music director of a night club named ZERO under the label of PROSOUND organization. Now end of 2004 The new compilation FUTURE SOUND OF ISTANBUL VOL.3 released.
