Since the year of '91, which was the first break of Ben Mckay in a club behind the turntables and also in front of the audience, his dreams became true. He was 15 at that time and it was the major point when he realized his potential. All the vibrations and harmonies surrounded within the club transform his attitude in ways only music accomplish. He was grown up infected by the music, had all the steps from the basics until today, and he was also between the firsts, who did radio activities in the house scene at Hungary. This time was the winds
of change in his country, house music entered, brought the fresh breeze after the funky rhythms, and of course, gave more reasons to Ben Mckay to fly on the wings of that kind of music what he really loves..

So, he was 15, when his function was not only to be the responsible front guy of the club of his high school, he was also the main editorial of the school's radio, wanted to infect all the people with the new electronic basements integrated into the trendy sounds. For many years, he's a workmate of several local and out-of-town radiostations, as a compilationist - but besides of this, he was permanently a member at many of the clubs in Hungary, and of course, was a stuff of a lot of happenings, advertised the luminary of a real party community -
what means the house nation for him.

From 1996, Ben McKay worked and works with together some talented and famous musicians and djs, at the biggest and most famous house clubs in Hungary, guides the party people to his soul and his conception of high standard music, completely avoid all the commercial masses and, as he says " frugal" musics - he never wanted to be a bit of a "biomass" of the commercial djs. Because all his ambition came from the root samples of the funky and disco music, today he prefers the quality house style, which means a really-wide-scale from lounge until to tech house for him.

The year of 2000, when his fate brought the first meeting with the famous producer and dj, Andy Slate, was a turning point for him and also for Andy. They immediately knew, they had something inside of each, what could be amazing if they're keep goin'on together. After numberless hours and days, they spent together with party organizations, bookings and promotings, Ben felt the way to be a producer. They first, corporated label management was established at 2004, named Space Gypsie, specially with the aim to create some new
sounds and feels into the deep-house-tech-house releases area.

As the guys realised soon, retro stuffs rules forever and afew months later, they created a new label as "Dizkotronik" for all their disco-house remix ideas and competitions, and they also started kind of new parties with this name to fill the empty hole around this type of partiefeeling in their country.

After moving to Los Angeles at the year of 2006, he started to walk on a new path. Ben feels some new chances to make this way from the other side. Beginning the series of “CaliforniaTales” mixes, swinging between styles of house and tech could be second act for the future….
