After being exposed to the exploding underground dance music scene in Atlanta in 1999, Junior Bravo, better known as Knix, shortly started djing and producing his own music. His style blends the sounds of techno, tech house, progressive & other styles of electronic sound to create music that takes its listeners on a musical journey through the fabrics of space and time.

Knix recently joined forces with fellow dj/producers Darius Kohanim and Dee Washington to start the collaboration "Absence of Essence."

Individually the parts that comprise the Absence of Essence (AOE) are obsessed with all things electric, frequencies, drums, texture and noise. Their solo discographies share releases on labels such as Audio Therapy, Hunya Munya, and Proton Music. Together in Atlanta under the AOE moniker their digital addictions create a musical forum dedicated solely to the future.

Absence of Essence also host a monthly internet radio show on Proton Radio that airs on the first Friday of the month at 12am PST (3am EST). The show is called "Alien Music."
