Beginning in Los Angeles in 1992, Garrett S has spent over 14 years behind the decks. His style has spanned the eclectic sounds of deep and jazzy house to hard trance and techno. Traveling to New Zealand, Guam, Korea and Mexico for headlining gigs gave Garrett the opportunity to play alongside of Lee Burridge, Yogi Biomehanika, DJ 19, and Chris C. At events in Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, San Diego, and San Francisco, Garrett performed alongside some of America's most extraordinary DJs like Christopher Lawrence, Taylor, Sandra Collins, Frankie Bones, Keoki, DJ Dan, Victor Dinaire, Steve Loria, David Alvarado, Samer, Tony, Simon, Ariel Cybana, Jon E Thin, and Jon Bishop.

In 1995 he promoted a weekly club called "Progression" in San Diego. In 1996 Garrett also threw a rave called "Soul Quest". This was Christopher Lawrence's first San Diego performance. During this time Garrett kept up an information line for Southern California clubs and events known as the "Splendor Line". Garrett is now a resident with Basis Events which produced "Resurrection" and the "Basis" weekly at Marin Lounge in San Diego's downtown Gaslamp district Wednesday nights.


Currently Garrett is mixing various styles of progressive, breaks, techno, electro house and trance. His main influences are John Digweed, James Zabiela, Sasha, Luke Chable, Nick Warren, Sander van Doorn, Hernan Cattaneo and bands such as The Cure, New Order, Depeche Mode, and Interpol. You can tune into Garrett S every month on his internet show, "Flooressence with Garrett S" on the world famous www.di.fm every 2nd Friday of the month @ 12pm EST.


Garrett is dedicated to mixing the finest progressive grooves around. One of his trademark talents is bridging the gap between house and trance DJ's with precise track selections. His performance never disappoints a crowd. Known for keeping the after-hours crowd moving well into the morning; Garrett's extended sets have rocked thousands at some of the world's best parties.
