"Somewhere, deep between stars and dreams, lies dj laika, creating the perfect tone, for whatever musical journey pleases her. Blending music from a variety of electronic genres, such as: downtempo, idm, deep house, electro, and minimal techno, dj laika creates sets that are well adapted for the time and space, for either a chilled-out lounge or a bangin' dance party. Hailing from the New York City metro area, her infectious beats reflect her exposure to all types of music and are especially influenced by hip-hop and jazz. Now residing in Ithaca, NY, she has crafted a unique sound, one unafraid to challenge genres or pay homage to the old-skool, yet one that is always fresh and on the edge."

DJ Laika has been a guest dj for the Bay Area Beat Drop collective, based in San Francisco. She has also performed for Ithaca's own "Science Cabaret", a monthly event combining science, music, and art.
