A self proclaimed beach bum, producing/mixing electronic music was probably the last thing on Dans mind when he made the move from the Southern Coasts of Queensland, Australia to the penninsula of Korea in 2002. Finding himself in a foreign land surrounded by an eclectic group of friends who had all mastered the wheels of steel in their own right, it took little peer pressure to ignite his passion for 'club' music. "I always enjoyed hogging stereos at house parties but never contemplated taking it to the next level!" The rest, as they too often say, is history.
After experimenting with virtually all forms of house it wasn't until 2005 that AUDIO TSUNAMI discovered a genre that truly depicted his style and allowed him to express the genres which had influenced him as a wee little grommet back home. The energy, vibe and versatility of breakbeat and Electro house.
Jackin funk, tribal tinged rhythms, phat broken beats or huge electro basslines! Audio Tsunamis' diverse bootyshakin sets have echoed across the penninsula alongside the likes of Myagi, Johnny Fiasco, Phil K, Aly and Fila, Freeflow, DJ Kai; mentors Jon Lockley, Mr Fudge, DJ G, Short Fiction, Brian kelly, Kaptain K and other Korean Juggernauts throughout the last 4 years.
